Cooter McPhee spent a few years in the Navy and always seemed to have a soft spot for all things nautical. When the Whippoorwill riverboat sank on Lake Perry In Kansas back in the early 1970’s Cooter went to the salvage auction and bought this working search light from the riverboat. It sat on top of his refrigerator for more than 25 years. He no longer has a use for it where he is so you can buy it and put it on top of your refrigerator or wherever ever else you want to put it for the portly sum of $135.84 fob Clay Center Kansas. |

When Cooter Mcphee was in High School white wall tires were all the rage. With not a lot of extra money in his pocket he decided to buy a set of “Port – a -- Walls” instead. These were a simple installation…by letting air out of your tire you could slide these behind the rim between the bead of the tire and the rim then air your tire back up and you had instant whitewalls! They worked as well as you might imagine but it was better than nothing and a lot cheaper than buying new tires just to “get the look.”
Cooter ended up with one set of 14” and a set of 15” plus three extras of the 15” size. They are in average condition and have a few curb scrapes but are not bad for being forty plus years old. They will look great hanging in your garage. You can buy the 14” set for $41.08 and the 15” set with extras for $74.56… or both sets for $105.32. All are fob Clay Center Kansas. |

These were ordered for Mayor Stoner’s personal car. His plan was to pay for them with city funds. The plan would have worked except that he forgot that the city clerk’s wife worked for the Chevrolet dealership in accounting. A tip to the clerk and the plan was foiled. Now you can buy them just as he did still in the box with hardware and instructions for the honest sum of $46.57 fob Clay Center Kansas. |
